Lately I smile every time I pull into the district when I look around and see how nice our grounds look.
Our first Merrill School Pride day was held Tuesday, May 15 district wide and it was a huge success. This success was due to the hard work from staff members, students and community members. Now, this did not happen overnight. There were a lot of people behind the scenes that volunteered many hours to plan and do manual work prior to school pride day in order for it to be such a success.
All students were involved from kindergarten through twelfth grade. It was nice to see everyone working and yet enjoying themselves at the same time. We did not hear one student grumble about working; they all were proud they were part of beautifying their school. Students enjoyed a picnic lunch and they all asked when that could be done again. Please congratulate your child on a job well done.
Once again Merrill stepped up and showed what a wonderful, caring district it is.
